As you know, Fujufilm X-Trans uses different color array pattern than (commonly used) 2x2 Bayer pattern. As a result, quality demosaic of such files requires a lot of computing power (compared to good enough bayer demosaic). We're working on better and fast enough demosaic for X-Trans files, but no specific timeframe at current point, sorry.
If you use RAW+JPEG mode (both in camera and in FRV), you can switch to full-size JPEG and back using 'J' key for critical sharpness evaluation.
