For historical reasons, bottom bar has three modes:
- in single file view mode: all fields, including image size are updated
- in grid view mode/stat reading turned off (in histogram panel) - only filename and rotation controls are updated in bottom bar (for speed reasons)
- in grid view mode/stats reading is on: image size in bottom bar is updated.
So, if your computer is fast enough for grid view/stats reading, you may 'turn on stats reading; (bargraph icon in histogram window) to get image size in bottom bar. We'll revisit this in coming FRV 1.5: right now metadata is always read in grid mode for current file (to display EXIF panel), so it is possible to always display image size for current image in the bottom bar.
