FRV tries to restore graphics state after awake (recompile graphics shader code, re-upload all the graphics data to card and display the image).
Unfortunately, this does work not for all graphics drivers, don't know why. So, the only solution for now is 'exit on sleep'. 'Exit on sleep' also may not work right (although I have not seen it in the wild) if your OS does not allow FRV time to terminate.
