Makernotes are an undocumented part of a file, a special set of fields (often contained within EXIF). Those fields are "notes" that are suposed to help camera manufacturers ("Makers") with camera diagnostics and data rendering. Normally, FastRawViewer doesn't decode the Makernote fields that are unique to some camera brand or model unless those fields are necessary for correct presentation of raw data. Film simulations are unique to Fujifilm and have no effect on raw data, that is why we don't decode those.
