HowTo? OverExp and UnderExp for selected area?
Forums:
FRV 0.9.3 newbie
Iis it possible to have the OverExp and UnderExp for a limited, selected area? It would be useful to have the stats for OverExp and UnderExp for that specific area.
If not, can this be a "Feature Request"?
From what I've seen so far, this is one of the few, and perhaps most significant, capability of FRV that is missing compared to RawDigger. Or am I unaware / ignorant of other RawDigger capabilities compared to FRV?
Note I am aware that RD has support for Sigma Fovean cameras. Do you anticipate support for Fovean with FRV?
Is there a chart somewhere on your website that compares / contrasts the capabilities of FRV vs RD?

Dear Allan,
Dear Allan,
Selections in FRV for Over/Underexposure to show statistics may be not the first priority. The areas of Over- and Underexposure in FRV can be highlighted and that is pretty much all the majority of users ask for to select technically useful images in a fast manner.
RawDigger is a tool for more systematic analysis, including, for example, grids to evaluate vignetting and calculate colour transforms, or to analyse optical black area surrounding sensors, and so on.
