Effects of Adobe Denoise not visible in DNG files
Forums:
I use the AI Denoise feature In Adobe Lightroom (Windows) to clean up high-ISO Canon .CR2 files. When applied to a .CR2 file, this feature creates a corresponding .DNG file which incorporates the noise reduction.
When comparing the original .CR2 file to the noise-reduced .DNG file using Adobe software (Lightroom, Bridge, Photoshop), the difference is obvious:
When comparing the original .CR2 file to the noise-reduced .DNG file using FRV, I see no difference:
Is this to be expected?

Thank you for the sample
Thank you for the sample files.
(As expected), the -Enhanced..DNG file contains two RAW frames:
1st: Original image
2nd: Enhanced/processed frame.
By default, FastRawViewer displays 1st frame from DNG file.
There is an option addressing this, described in application manual: https://updates.fastrawviewer.com/data/FastRawViewer2-Manual-ENG.pdf#page=213
(Manual PDF is fully searchable and also available via Menu - Help - PDF Manual)
To apply this additional setting ( https://updates.fastrawviewer.com/data/FastRawViewer2-Manual-ENG.pdf#page=209 ):
1) FastRawViewer Menu - Help - Auxiliary settings scripts
Windows Explored/Mac Finder window will open with FastRawViewer 'additional settings' scripts
2) Close FastRawViewer
3) Locate the DNGShowEnhancedImage script in Explorer/Finder window opened on step 1.
4a) On Windows: double click on the DNGShowEnhancedImage script, two prompts will occur (Registry Editor start and Registry change), confirm both.
4b) On Mac:
Open Terminal Window (Applications - Utilities - Terminal)
Drag the DNGShowEnhancedImage script into this Terminal Window
Press Enter in the Terminal window to execute the script.
5) Start FastRawViewer again.
Here are screenshots on my system before and after changing this setting:

Looks like expected behavior.

After making the registry
After making the registry changes, FRV can't open the DNG files. The error message reads:
Cannot decode file
No images found in file <filename>
Broken file, or access denied, or unsupported format
