Feature Request (FastRawViewer): More options for "Sort & Filter"
Forums:
Hello all,
since FastRawViewer already reads the EXIF data of the loaded photos and already offers a few options for sorting and filtering, I would like to see more options:
Filter by:
ISO
Aperture
Shutter speed
Focal length
Exposure compensation
etc.
Basically, sort and filter according to the EXIF data that can be displayed in the left navigation area.
Many thanks in advance!
Best regards
Uli

Dear Sir:
Could you please explain how those features are relevant to culling?

Hello Alex,
Hello Alex,
I would like to come back to my original question: "More options for "Sort & Filter"" (see above).
What is the current status?
Best regards

When we have something to show, we will definitely show it. We do not comment on development progress and/or deadlines/ETA while it is in progress and not ready for show.

Hello,
Hello,
I'm happy to do it!
A typical day as a nature photographer looks like that, that I photograph most different things with very different camera settings and lenses. E.G.:
Each of the described actions occurs several times in one day and in a sequence that cannot be planned in advance.
After one of these days, there are often 1000 or more photos.
This way I already work in Lightroom with the disadvantage that I first have to import all 1000 photos in a tedious (and unnecessary) way.
On days when I'm only out with the 100-500mm, for example, I do the culling very efficiently in FastRawViewer, of course!
I hope I could explain you my thoughts sufficiently and I am looking forward to the next steps!
Many greetings
Uli

Hello Uli,
Hello Uli,
So far I was under the impression that the search field would do the trick. But I read that it is only for searching text in the file names. Too bad...!

While browsing the forum I found another user who would appreciate searching / filtering with custom EXIF data.

It would also be nice to sort
It would also be nice to sort by capture date. When shooting sports with multiple cameras, sorting by file name is a little confusing.
It is the only feature from Photo Mechanic I miss! Maybe you have it and I just can't find it.
Thanks!
Roger
