Enhancement request: Sequential shot number
Forums:
EXIF information (at least sometimes) includes the sequence number of a shot in a "burst". For example the EXIF for my Olympus camera includes:
Drive Mode : Continuous Shooting, Shot 15
It would be great if you could show the Shot number next to the File Name, or next to the Time, or somewhere in each thumbnail area in the Grid View. This would be helpful when culling within bursts of images, analyzing the success of one's shooting techniques, etc.
Thanks.

AFAIK, there is no sequence
AFAIK, there is no sequence number field in standard EXIF tags: https://exiftool.org/TagNames/EXIF.html
Supporting vendor specific tags will result into endless jorney, apart from the fact that these tags have never been officially documented so interpetation is always a guess w/ unknown quality.

Yeah, now I see that only
Yeah, now I see that only Canon and Minolta and Olympus store anything about Drive Mode, and only Oly stores the shot number. So it's nonstandard. Bummer - it's pretty useful. In OM Workspace they have a new AI feature to examine a burst, and sort the images in a burst by sharpness, which is qute handy. But FRV is so much faster than OWS for general use that I'm working on switching to it.
Thanks.
