Seeing Ratings and Labels in the filmstrip

I looked through the topics and didn't see anything, so I probably have something set wrong... 
I'm a photographer that's been using Photoshop since version 3, Bridge since it came out, and Lightroom since it was the original beta, so I'm familiar with, and comfortable with, how they work.  This particular PC is running Windows 7, 64-bit with 24GB of memory.  I decided to give your viewer a try to see if it could improve the initial review process.  I customized most of the functions needed for a basic exam and review so they work similar to Lightroom.  But, for some reason, I can't see the label or rating for images on the filmstrip. 
I created my own labels to match those I use in Bridge and Lightroom.  I opened a set of images I'd previously labeled and/or rated in Bridge, expecting that I'd have the visual information in FRV to quickly show me what settings were in effect.  Unfortunately, I"m not seeing anything in either the filmstrip or the large image.  Anyone have an idea what I likely have configured incorrectly?
And yes, I already have the filmstrip configured to show the label and rating in overlay.  I also tried showing them below the thumbnail, but nothing shows there either.

Dear Sir,

Can you please verify that you have Bridge writing XMP files containing rating and labels next to raw files; XMP files can be opened with a simple text editor to search for xmp:Rating= and xmp:Label= -- or you can e-mail an XMP file to support@fastrawviewer.com

I just installed FRW on a different desktop running Win 8.1, 64-bit.  I'm not sure what I set differently in the preferences, but on this machine my .NEF files show the labels and ratings in the filmstrip.  I also consider both .NEF and .dng files as "raws", so I checked some .dng files.  Those also appear to be showing the ratings and labels in the filmstrip...
I have the overexposure (OE) and underexposure (UE) buttons on the bottom bar, and they appear to work.  BUT, I can't find the place where I set the colors FRV uses...  I'm used to underexposed areas being a light/medium blue and overexposed areas being red.  Where do I set those parameters?

Over- and underexposure indicators shows not only over (under)-exposure presence, but what channel(s) is(are) overexposed.

For overexposed areas, overblown channel is zeroed, so these colors are used:

  • Magenta – areas where the green channel is clipped
  • Cyan – areas where only the red channel is clipped
  • Yellow – areas where only the blue channel is clipped
  • Blue – areas where both green and red channels are clipped
  • Green – areas where both blue and red channels are clipped
  • Red – areas where both blue and green channels are clipped
  • Black – areas where all 3 channels are clipped.

For underexposed areas, underexposed channels are inverted to full saturation, so these colors are used:

  • Blue – where the blue channel is underexposed
  • Red – where the red channel is underexposed
  • Green – where the green channel is underexposed
  • Magenta – where both red and blue channels are underexposed
  • Cyan – where both green and blue channels are underexposed
  • Yellow – where both green and red channels are underexposed
  • White – where all three channels are underexposed.

So, there is no way to set Over/under-exposure areas colors, because color scheme is more complex than one color.

Interesting...  That won't bother old farts like me that grew up with film and printing and had to learn subtractive colors, but I'd think you'd make the younger folks that started with digital and only dealt with RGB color scheme a little confused...

Reverting over (under)-exposed channel is the only way to show not only overexposure areas, but what exact channel is overexposed (if it is only one channel, it may be possible to use highlight recovery if raw converter supports it, so do not move such file to trash as overexposed).

It do not works well with CMYG cameras, fortunately there is no such cameras on current market.
