Request: add apply button

Hi
I have been making changes to preferences, I think if you don't press OK when going between sections the updates to the previous section get lost. If you press OK it applies the settings but closes the edit preferences window which means you need to reopen it to update the next preferences section.
If there was an apply button which applied the settings but kept the preferences winodw open you could make changes to several sections in one go.

You do not need to press OK (several times) during preferences change, most preferences interdependencies are active immediately (if not: please file a bug).

There are several performance-related preference settings that takes effect only on FRV (re)start. Such preferences warn about this when they change
