FRV and Lightroom

Hi All,
I am looking to integrate FRV in my workflow. I want to use FRV for reviewing the RAW images and then use the selected images in lightroom + photoshop for further processing.
As part of this workflow process. I am looking to use FRV to set the Exposure Correction and White Balance.
The issue I am having is that when I set the Exposure Correction and White Balance from the FRV, and I open the image in Lightroom, I don't see the white balance changes in Lightroom.
This makes me wonder,  am I doing things correctly,  should I be using FRV in such a way ?
I cannot trust changes made in FRV untill I can see them in Lightroom.
Please advise on this.
Thanks
Krishna

Dear Sir:

If the images are already imported to Lightroom,  you need to trigger the synchronization of metadata manually - "read metadata" in Lightroom; that will cause Lightroom to read the new .xmp file.

One of the ways to do it is to select the files in the Lightroom Grid view (to select all files in the Grid view, you can use Ctrl-A), right-click on one of the selected files; and in the drop-down that appears choose Metadata -> Read Metadata from Files. You can do it with a single file too by right-clicking on it; you will see 'Read Metadata from File', singular.

If the image is not yet imported, Lightroom should be importing the image together with .xmp

Hi,
Thank you for the update. I tried the same and I am able to get the changes made in exposure correction but the white balance in Lightroom does not reflect the changes made in FRV.

Dear Sir:

What is the extension of the raw files you are using, are they DNG?

Please check FastRawViewer Preferences, XMP section, and see Adobe-compatible XMP is selected, and Adobe process is set to the version that corresponds to the one you are using in Lightroom.

If that does not solve it, please quit Lightroom, make some changes to white balance and e-mail us ( support@ fastrawviewer.com ) an XMP file from FastRawViewer.

I am using Lightroom CC. I selected the following options Write Adobe Compatible XMP files. Process was selected as 2012
I also selected Force XMP Files creation.
I will email you the xmp file from FastRawViewer

Thanks

Dear Sir:

Thank you, the file received, and answerd. Please let us know if it helped.

I got the email and sent the follow up questions. The issue is resolved
For now I will keep in mind that once we have image edited in Lightroom, it should not be touched in FRV.

Thanks
Krishna Prasad Kotti

I wonder if the final answer may be made public?
Thanks
