Generate thumbnails the same as in RAW mode

Hi, is it possible to generate thumbnails to be looking the same as in RAW mode?
It seems like the only option for generating thumbnails is the embedded JPEG? (Which is in B&W in my case)

FastRawViewer uses embedded or external (associated) JPEG to generate thumbnails. Rendering thumnails from RAW will result in unacceptable slow-down on most today personal computers.
