of course I see the point ( that you can't provide viewing of every format out there ), but then no cameras record all those PNG formats either ? yet PNG are displayed... FRV is being used to browse files and invoke a raw converter and then ideally to see what raw converter outputs... a widely used ACR/LR raw converters do output JPEG-XL and AVIF file formats ( https://i.postimg.cc/0j7KxN9d/formats.png ) , so it is reasoble to expect FRV to let users view them ? $0.02
Hi Alex,
I second this request to support HDR file formats, particularly AVIF. Most modern ILCs already capture a dynamic range that allows HDR processing. Support for HDR-range image formats such as AVIF has already been implemented in Chrome & Chrome-based browers, Safari etc. So, I now frequently process my RAW files to AVIF in ACR (and Lightroom Classic) and save them back to the same folder as the originals where they are (unfortunately) not visible in FRV.
My main monitor is a 2019 iMac that is quite capable of viewing HDR-processed images. All Mac-silicon laptops & most iPads can do so, too. So I'm increasingly sending HDR-range images to the Web and I guess that the trend to using this processing format will only accelerate now that ACR/LR support processing.

FastRawViewer is definitely NOT 500+ image formats viewer.
We support out-of-camera images (raw, jpeg, heif/heic) and most frequently used formats (tiff, png). No plans to extend it: this process risks becoming endless
